Kristin Fisher has joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible covering everything from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of tourism to space. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She spent the last five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Through this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. The trip included a shady trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin has worked in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the CBS network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's camera skills led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives with her husband at Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
