Summer Glau is an American actress who is famous for her role as River Tam in the critically loved TV show Firefly and also as Cameron in the series Terminator. The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Besides these she has starred in TV shows The 4400 The Unit The Cape Arrow and Sequestered as and guest-starred on the programs Angel Cold Case The Big Bang Theory Chuck and Hawaii Five-0. Alongside appearing in movies like Serenity, Knights of Badassdom and Knights of Badassdom, the actress has appeared in TV films as well as short films including Mammoth the Beginning of Sarah Deadly Honeymoon aiding in the celebrations of the holidays Dead End Inside the Box and several more. She was the youngest child that was born to Marcela Quintanilla. Selena started her professional career at the age of eight years old in a band that was formed by Abraham Quintanilla. Selena's older brothers Abraham junior playing base guitar and sister Suzette on drums were in the group. Selena also sang. Selena Y Los Dino, the group she played with was known as Selena Y Los Dino. The band also played at wedding fairs, as and in eating places. The band was very time consuming for Selena as well as her brothers and sisters, so they did not have a childhood but they were encouraged to become committed musicians due to the dedication from their father Abraham. Abraham senior also performed with his band, the Los Dinos original band. Selena Y Los Dinos began to form in 1981. The band is the business of the Quintanillas and their primary source of earnings. Quintanilla persevered, despite not having much money at the beginning. They continued to work toward becoming a winning family band. Selena Y Los Dinos became popular in western states towards the end of the 1980s. In 1986 the band got their first taste of success in the form of Selena was awarded Female Singer of the Year and Performer of the Year at the Tejano music awards. Selena Y Los Dinos gained notoriety and recognition afterward. They appeared on numerous Spanish language television shows such as El Show De Johnny Canales Siempre En Domingo and Sabado Gigante.
